Our Day in Amsterdam

Had a beautiful, sunny, cold, day in Amsterdam today. Unlike yesterday, that was spent all morning, day, and evening in the Paris Airport, aboard the plane and in the Amsterdam Airport..... for a total of 13 LONG hours. Enough about yesterday... had bagels and a nosh before spending the morning touring the Anne Frank House. Afterwards we had wonderful pankakes (thanks to Ellie and David Stillmans recommendation) at The Pancake Bakery. Spent the afternoon taking in the sites of Amsterdam....

Did the Red Light District, strolled by many coffee shops.... Had a fine dining experience for diner at McDonalds. Basically had a great time walking about 5 miles throughout the day and our looking forward to another day in airports, planes and traveling..... But the good news is that tomorrow at this time we will finally be in Uganda, Africa!!!

F`n Freezin in Paris

Well Day 2 and our last day in in Paris.... We went to the Louvre for the afternoon, had a blast, lost a son, found a son. This was our entry into the famed musuem, sans me...

Then went on our way in the mounting snow to the Eiffel Tower, where the adventurers that we are walked up to the first observatory. (only one open due to the snow and cold) Up there we froze, Benji and Shoshi ice skated above paris....

Did not see much but had a great view....

Then we cabbed it back to the hotel area, did a little shopping, got dinner in a bakery.... And enjoyed the HUGE snowflakes in Paris....

Tomorrow we are off to Amsterdam bright and early. One of us will summarize our adventures tomorrow night.

Day One - Paris

This is the Eiffel Tower during the season every 5 o'clock at night. And here is me with the tower in the background. Other than us acting like typical rude americans, and getting a late start we had fun today.

Last night Joanne, (our guide that is traveling with us in Uganda and Amsterdam) dropped off things for us to take  to the Abuyudaya community that were donated by people in our synagogue.  Things like school supplies, vitamins, tylenol, soccer balls and some other medical supplies. The first leg of our trip is Paris. We arrive there tomorrow at 7:35 am. We have hop on Hop off passes already purchased so we can drop our luggage at the hotel and start seeing the sites! It is supposed to be 35 and snowing in Paris at least it's not below Zero.
